Lux
Aeterna
Sing and perform sacred and secular Renaissance and early Baroque music in East Sussex
In association with
Lux Aeterna is a friendly and supportive group of capable singers, working to
professional standards and rehearsing in the atmosphere of a regular musical workshop.
Whilst the ability to sight read is helpful, willingness to learn the music at home before
rehearsals is acceptable. Singers must be prepared to sing a capella or with a variety of
instrumentalists, and to participate on a concert by concert basis depending
on the number and kind of voices required.
Rehearsals take place at Eastbourne Parish Church (St Mary the Virgin, Old Town)
on Monday evenings from 8.00 p.m. to 9.30 p.m., mostly during term time but at other
times by agreement. For further information or if you would like to consider joining us
please follow the instructions on our 'Contact us' page. We presently have vacancies
for two first tenors and a countertenor or alto.
Lux Aeterna is grateful for the support of Eastbourne Parish Church, and the annual
Eastbourne Festival to which it aspires to make a significant contribution as part of a new
early music strand.
